"A small slice of heaven on earth!! We thouroughtly enjoyed our stay here on Playa Hermosa. We took advantage of the many activities in the area: canopy tour, ATV tour, a day in Manuel Antonio (spectacular!), snrise walks on the beach, sunset walks on the beach, and one of us even learned to surf! We partook of several quaint local eateries and enjoyed them all.
We have been staggered and humbled by the nature beauty of the area. Weith 4 camaras and 400 photos between us, we can only hope we managed to capture a bit of it to take home. Dave and Allison, thank you for sharing your paradise with us. It has truly been an unforgettable experience!"

Hi Allison! I just got back into NY last night, went to LA for Thanksgiving after Costa Rica. We were so, so, so sad to leave. It was unbelievably gorgeous!! We expected it to be amazing and it exceeded every expectation. My boyfriend surfed non-stop and I thoroughly enjoyed sitting on your patio and reading w/ a margarita. Had yummy dinners in Jaco and went out w/ the chiclets boys our last morning. Judith and Paolo were so nice and helpful. They certainly have the right idea in moving down there full-time... I hear you are doing the same?? jealous...
Thanks again, we had the best time. I have a feeling I will be contacting you again in the future...

Hi Allison,
I had planned on sending you a message, I wasn't sure how long you were staying down there.
Anyway, the bungalow was perfect, we have spread the word! You have it decorated so nice and so comfy, we felt right at home. We loved the location, Judith and Paolo are precious. They do a nice job maintaining the grounds.
We went to see Manual Antonio and river rafting. We did Chicklets Canopy Tour and a few more adventures. We ate at quite a few local places, great food, nice people too.
So, we had a great trip! Thanks again for your hospitality and your suggestions on activities. The crew at Chicklets and Rios Tropicales were awesome too.

Allison-
Thank you very much for the use of your place last week. We would have loved to stay later, but one of the travelers was getting home sick and the other was to fly home the morning we checked out. Because bus service was inconvenient for an 8am flight we opted to check out a day early. Hopefully this wasn't too much of a problem.....I understand some tennants in another bungalow were to move in when we checked out.
Costa Rica is one of the most beatiful countries. From the Central Valley to the parts of the West and South of the country we visited, all I can say is I wish I had more time. 10 days in the entire country was truly not enough time, despite the itinerary that some travel books depict, to see and enjoy everything. I will definitely be going back. The first meal at a restaurant when I returned home was beans and rice!!!
Let me say thank you for all the help and the use of your wonderful place. The pictures truly do not do depict just how beautiful the place is. The weather was a little warmer than we expected (like Michigan in the summers, it's the humidity that gets you), but a truly memorable trip from beginning to end. Your place was wonderful, you were beyond words helpful, and the country is one of the most beautiful I've been to. I'll send some pictures of the trip shortly if you'd like.

Hi Allison,Thanks for inquiring about our stay. Actually, I did plan on writing to thank you for the wonderful stay. We really enjoyed our visit to CR and do plan on coming back. We would be interested in renting the Bungalow again. I suspect we will come back at the same time next year (Spring Break) or possibly sooner.
The accommodations were fantastic, I can’t think of anything to improve upon!!!!!!!!!!!! We felt at home and the whole trip was so relaxing. We really loved all the privacy the area offered us. The beaches were almost vacant and hardly anybody in the pool. Best of all I was NEVER cold. Its a great thing to come from a cold climate like Minnesota and have such beautiful weather. Didn't even make it to Manuel Antonio because we wanted to spend all our time at Bungalow 6. It is a Paradise!!!!!!! We met some great people, local and otherwise. Wish I spoke Spanish. Thanks again and will keep in touch. When do you plan on moving????Mary

WOW....What can I say. Absolutely the best vacation either one of us have ever had. The bungalow was fantastic. Karmon truly loved everything that Judith did also. You have a great couple in Judith and Paolo, they are both fantastic!! You may end up costing me money too....Karmon loved the table on the front porch so much, we may have to find one just like it!! Seriously, thank you so much, everything was perfect, from the beach, which we were the ONLY people on it, to the pool, to the Jungle Surf Cafe, which has the best Tuna ever!!!! We can't wait to come back, and we definitely hope to stay at bungalow #6....I have recommended your place to all my family and friends, so I hope you fill the place up!! Thanks again for everything.

Hi Allison,
Yes, we are back and slowly adjusting back to the fast pace of California. We had one of the best vacations we've ever had, and the bungalow was perfect.
Not knowing anything about Costa Rica, I think we got lucky choosing to stay in Hermosa. We could of easily chose to stay in Jaco, which is fine for eating and nightlife, but doesn't seem to have the quietness and beauty Hermosa has. With little kids, we seemed to have the most fun staying close to the bungalow, swimming, reading, feeding iguanas, taking turns surfing, and not taking long road trips. We went to Jaco quite a lot, hiked the monkey trail, visited Esterillos and Manuel Antonio.
The Bungalow itself was very nice and comfortable. We stayed in #13 as well. It was nice too, but yours had better decor, kitchen stuff, kids toys, movies and books. In fact, my wife read at least five of your books and even I read a couple.
Thanks again for letting us stay at your bungalow and helping us have a great vacation!

We had an awwwwwwsome time. Of course, we didn't want to come home:) Everything in the Bungalow was excellent. The people in Costa Rica were great, the food was great, the weather, OH MY GOSH, it was beautiful every single day. I still have the best tan ever. It only really rained one night as we were going to bed and it had stopped by morning. My husband surfed every day just yards away from where he rolled out of bed, what more could you ask for?! Judith and Paolo were very sweet and helpful. In fact, my husband could hardly move his neck the day before we left, because of all the hours he surfed, that Paolo worked some of his Physical therapy wonders on him. After that, he was a new man. Thank you sooooo much for all your suggestions and recommendations, I think we did almost every one and some more than that (Banana pancakes). We would have never found the place without your directions, they were perfect. We realized quite quickly why your directions didn't have any street names , it's because there aren't any!!!! So, without your packet of information, we would have never made it there or have done all the fun stuff you suggested. Our Chicklets tour was the highlight. We felt so special because we were the only ones that trip. It felt like VIP treatment, the guy even took my video camara and taped the entire thing for us!!!
I can't say enough of how much fun we had. We were having such a good time that one day almost the entire day went by when we realized around dinner time that it was MY BIRTHDAY! We got a good laugh from that one. The only problem we had, actually it was a silent blessing was that the phone was not working, it was wonderful. Also, every clock in the house had a different time. We decided the first day that we would leave all the clocks with different times, we were on vacation, who cares what time it was. The only day we had to know what time it was, had to be the day before we left, so we went to the store and got batteries for all the clocks so in case the power went out, we wouldn't miss our flight (though we did think about it) Thanks again for eveything. I am so sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner. As soon as we got back, we bought a new house so I have been overwhelmed with all that. Congratulatioins on your new move as well! We are quite jealous. I was so excited to receive your photo card. I have been talking with you for several months now, it's nice to put a face with the e-mail. You have a beautiful family.
We just put away $4,000 so that the next chance we get, we are going back to Cost Rica!
